Do you ever find yourself with more food in your fridge than you actually make?
It’s okay… we’ve all been there!
But did you know that an estimated 72 billion pounds of food ends up in the landfill every year, while 42 million Americans struggle with hunger?
Here’s the good news… we can help!
A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to attend Expo West (a huge expo here in southern California) on behalf of Kroger. Their mission, Zero Hunger Zero Waste, is to end hunger in our communities and eliminate their company waste by 2025.
Full disclosure: I am in no way sponsored to talk about this. I am just so moved by the mission and the impact we can have that I want to share it with you!
Because we can make an impact.
In fact, we can reduce waste in our own homes, and that’s exactly what I’m breaking down on today’s Episode of the Dinner Table Talk Podcast!
“That’s what I really wanted to share today, is what you can think about and what you can do with those foods in your fridge that you may just throw out.”
“Buying things that likely would go to waste, especially because others pass them up, they’re just as good. That’s really what we proved as we were using lunch meat and pie crust; you’d be surprised what you can actually utilize.”
